GAIAR is a French platform divided into two activities: one is a social network, gaiar.com, the other a back-office for the protection, management and distribution of works and content (video, audio, image and text): gaiar.studio.com.

Legally, it is compulsory for an author / a creator to prove the anteriority of his creation. Proof by blockchain is a mathematic proof. Data integrity and history are guaranteed by cryptographic algorithms and decentralization.

Article 1366 of the Civil Code : “An electronic document has the same probative force than a hard-copy written document, as long as the person it emanates from can be duly identified and that it is established and saved in conditions that can guarantee its integrity.”

Regulation (EC) No 460/2004 : “data integrity”means the confirmation that data which have been sent, received, or stored are complete and unchanged.”

On GAIAR you can deposit all types of works and contents (video, audio, image & text).
When you have a free subscription, GAIAR charges 1 euro TTC for the deposit of a work and 10 euros TTC for the deposit of a catalog of works which can be multi-support (audio, video, image and text). Once deposited on blockchain, GAIAR allows you to exploit your works on all networks.

The GAIAR player directly integrates distribution and remuneration functions. Depending on whether works are offered at a fixed price, free price or minimum price, viewers are free to pay for them, starting at 0.50 euro cents.

You can choose between :

• free price: you let viewers pay the amount they wish, and the work is free to view.
• minimum price: this is a minimum price for access to the work. Viewers can increase this price on their own initiative. You define the length of time the work can be viewed.
• fixed price.

You can also use monetization tools for generalized access to all your content (author channel or curator).

Smart Contract also gives you the possibility to associate other authors, producers or any other actor that you would like to share interests with on the exploitation of the artwork.

Your works are protected on the Ethereum or Polygone blockchains (your choice), which are reputed to be tamper-proof and future-proof.

And should this blockchain run into trouble, GAIAR will ensure continuity of service.

Under French law, the term of copyright protection is 70 years after the death of the author.

In most countries, this period varies between 50 and 70 years.

Your moral rights, on the other hand, are eternal.

A team of 4 men and 3 women from several cultural sectors has been built up through meetings and professional experiences. Each of the founding members of GAIAR has lived in contact with artists (music, cinema, publishing, performing art, etc.) and knows the difficulty to enforce copyright.

We think that :

• each artwork has its audience,
• audiences are eager for a greater diversity of artworks, and a closer link to the authors,
• that once incomes are better distributed, an author can live decently from his productions,
• that a community binding together authors, cultural professionals and audiences can generate its own economic ecosystem, connect it to all networks and broadcasters, and even create its own.

You can associate as many authors as you want in a Smart Contract.

If they are not registered on GAIAR yet, you can enter their e-mail address and a message will encourage them to create their account so they can validate their participation.

In a Smart Contract, you define for each author or rights-holder the percentages of the distribution of the incomes generated by the artwork that must be returned to him.

GAIAR player is exportable anywhere on the internet, and on networks blocking its reading, like Facebook, a sharing system allows you anyway to have a stylized banner that redirects to the player and the artwork, directly on your author channel.

The rights holder(s) who manage(s) the exploitation of a work or content are entitled to 100% of the revenues generated by the sale of this work or content. If necessary, the beneficiary(ies) must contact their tax authorities, their affiliation and social protection organizations to file their own income tax returns.

GAIAR does not charge bank fees for transfers to your bank account when made in euros.

In the event of royalties being paid in a currency other than the euro, they will be calculated according to the exchange rate in force on the day of payment, any commissions being borne by the rightful owner.

You have the choice today between three possible tariffs: the free price, the minimum price or the fixed price for a duration of vision which you choose yourself. It is up to you to define your own amount (from 0.50 euro cents) according to the market prices and the value you give to your work. You can change the price whenever you want, for example to make promotional operations.

If you have a wallet, your prices can be established in euro or in crypto-currency (ether or matic).

The fact that you have mandated an other society, such as a collective copyright management society, and that you have registered your work with this society does not prevent you from registering that word on GAIAR.

The registration on GAIAR presents another advantage because it provides a definite date to the work, thank to the Blockchain, which is inviolable. Furthermore, the registration of a work will be for an indefinite period and will represent a proof, that can be used anytime, and as many times as needed.

Above all, a registration on GAIAR allows to certify the work content in its integrality, undeniably and indefinitely.

GAIAR gives equal visibility to all users and offers a number of tools to help you raise the profile of your work :

• the player can be exported and/or integrated everywhere (social networks, blogs, e-commerce sites, etc.).
• the platform’s search engine optimization (SEO) will help your audience find you.
• smart Contracts interoperability: you’ll be able to partner with cultural marketing professionals, or let other players connect your work to other Smart Contracts for Exploitation.
• broadcast a trailer of your work on other carrier content in collaboration with other creators.

At GAIAR, every artwork has its audience.

No, you could be exposed to legal action by the rightful owners.

Only the account holder who deposited the work can interrupt its distribution or delete the Smart Contract to create a new one.

However, your initial deposit will always remain valid as time-stamped proof of anteriority.

GAIAR uses euro, ether (Ethereum blockchain) and matic (Polygon blockchain).

GAIAR users can therefore pay for works, take subscriptions and/or reward the artists they consult in FIAT or crypto-currency.

We will transfer to you the amount in euros that you wish to recover from your GAIAR wallet, at the end of 30 days of the month and once the amount of your earnings is equal to or greater than €50.

Example: You have €1,000 in your GAIAR wallet and you want to get €500 back on March 18; the transfer will be made to your bank account by April 30 at the latest.

You can either sign up with a label that would also operate with a GAIAR account, or ask it to let you work on your works on GAIAR, if the label’s action is complementary to GAIAR’s services.
